Has anybody had any experience getting a Mitsubishi Magna Sedan loud, ie: over 140db? For the TL:DR people, have tried a bunch of boxes, have good gear but cant get past a 135; tips? So long stories short, weve got a Mitsubishi Magna Sedan with a tiny-ass ski port between the trunk and the cabin, with seats that do not fold down and were up to the third combination so far box and gear wise that is struggling to see more than 133~ on a burp on a GOOD day. The Gear: Sundown SAZ1500D amp (have tried Pioneer, db drive, power acoustik, option audio etc) x2 and then x3 Sundown E-Series 12s (2 12s in a 32hz-tuned horn box which peaked at 51hz then 3 12s in a general box with various adjustable 8 aero ports firing through into the cabin) Oddessy 2250 Battery under the hood with proper cabling ran. The trouble is with all this gear, no matter if music is played or a burp is done, the termlab only reads 130-133db. Everything is wired right, gear is all working, gains are DD1d but were still running into this issue. Is this sounding like a case of when in doubt, tune high or is the design of the car really that hard to work with to get loud? Any ideas?
