“Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding”. Isaiah 40:28 Lesson 3 is based on Day 1 of Re-creation:- Genesis 1:4-5 For the lost coin to be found by the woman, a candle had to be lit, the house had to be swept and careful search had to be done. The house could not be swept in the dark, neither the careful searching in the dark. The key factor here is the “light” that had to be lit. (Luke 15:8-10). And once the light was in control of the darkness could a period of rejoicing be experienced. Even so in Luke 11:33-36, those in the house (earth) have a right to the light and hence the insistence by God Almighty to reveal the light in Genesis 1 on the first day of the new beginning or re-birth of all things. DAY versus night reveals the great depth of understanding of God that even though the light has been provided, there will be others (human and spirit beings like angels led by satan) who will elect to remain in the darkness and never appear in the light because their deeds are evil. Should we then not equate the “day” with “truth” and “night” with “falsehood and deception”? Listen, “...God saw the light, that it was good...” There is nowhere in the holy writings that says that “God saw the darkness, that it was good”. Only the light was good according to verse 4 of Genesis chapter 1. So, from day 1, the stage is set for the salvation of mankind (who had not yet been created). God is arranging the life of mankind in such a manner that boggles the mind of the wisest because the words that are spoken/written in the Holy Bible”... are Spirit, and they are life”. (John 6:63). Jesus then proclaims at the Sermon on the Mount that believers are “the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14) because if we abide in Him who is the Light of the World (John 8:12), His Light indeed begets us into what He Himself is. “...because as He is, so are we in this world”. 1 John 4:17. When new Jerusalem descended down from heaven we are told that”... the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon (physical things), to shine in it: for the Glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the Light thereof...and the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.” Revelation 21:23-25 Furthermore, “and there shall be no night there: and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever.” (Revelation 22:5). So the new beginnings of Genesis 1 will culminate in the destruction or elimination of the “night” or “darkness” in Revelation 21 and 22. WHY? Because “the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.” (Revelation 20:10). Once satan is no longer on the stage, the purpose of darkness or the night vanishes away; only Light remains; only God and His people remain. New Jerusalem – a perfect and eternal/everlasting state. Quite interesting, isn’t it? Are you learning something? Are you being blessed? Lesson 4 will be next week, 15th November 2013. We sincerely love you in Jesus’ Mighty Name.
