Hats off to the St. Luke’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) team for going the extra mile for a patient who was going to miss his son’s wedding in Florida. He was recently injured and was not able to travel to this “destination wedding.” Amanda Krogmann, PMR unit supervisor set up an iPad and used FaceTime so the father was able to participate in his son’s wedding. She worked with Dan Wolfs, PMR tech and Wayne Betts from Biomed to get the wedding on the big screen in the PMR rec room. She came in on her day off with a flower for the patient to wear, a small wedding cake and a bottle of sparkling grape juice. The rec room was packed with some of his family members and many of our other patients. Way to go Amanda, Dan and Wayne and the rest of the PMR team for “giving the healthcare we’d want our loved ones to receive.”
