Haulout Day #6 work report: Nothing much accomplished by us. Bill worked for hours on that heading sensor but it still is not working correctly. I replaced the lining on the hatch curtain over the saloon table. Last summer we had new curtains made for all the hatches and side ports. I detest the lining used by the shop and am replacing with sunblock lining. Each one takes a long time to rip out all the stitches, cut sunblock fabric to correct size, position velcro where needed, pin curtain and lining together and iron edges into place, sew 2 rows of stitching on all 4 sides, and then sew on the glides. Two finished; 10 more to go. The painters forgot about the narrow strip above the wide boot stripe, so they spent the day painting that narrow strip with the new Desert Sand color; then started on anti-fouling. Supposed to splash Wednesday.
