Have had the song, Midlife Crisis in my head all day, originally - TopicsExpress

Have had the song, Midlife Crisis in my head all day, originally by Faith No More but Ive got one of the covers by Disturbed. I know Im not there yet but thats not the point Im trying to make here. I often criticise my mother, for instance, for just liking a song for the catchy tune as I pride myself on appreciating songs for the more in depth profound lyrics. Hence the reason way my head is full of song lyrics 80% of the time Im studying. However in this case I looked up the lyrics on MetroLyrics and theyre just hilarious. Go on and wring my neck Like when a rag gets wet A little discipline For my pet genius My head is like a lettuce Go on and dig your thumbs in I cannot stop giving Im thirty-something Sense of security Like pockets jingling Midlife crisis Suck ingenuity Down through the family tree Youre perfect, yes, its true But without me youre only you (youre only you) Your menstruating heart It aint bleedin enough for two Its a midlife crisis Its a midlife crisis... What an inheritance The salt and the Kleenex Morbid self attention Bending my pinky back A little discipline A donor by habit A little discipline Rent an opinion Sense of security Holding blunt instrument Midlife crisis Im a perfectionist And perfect is a skinned knee And so on I have to admit that I dont really understand what hes singing about (definitely not a midlife crisis) but nevertheless its one of those songs that you end up headbanging to despite this because its catchy. Call me a hypocrite but I think thats exactly what, the lead singer of Faith No More, Mike Patton was looking for as seen and the end of this music video below. He says one of his goals when listening to his music is to make the audience question what was that? Which I most certainly am. Kudos! https://youtube/watch?v=wzXtxqMRd8g&feature=kp
