★★★★★ “Have hired many cars around Australia and the Europe. Have mostly looked for low cost cars to ensure more spend on food and other travel endeavors. Surfers Rent a Car was almost the lowest cost but thanks to very bad reviews of the lower cost company we went to Surfers Rent a Car. The cars are known before you hire and our was a small 2010 car in very good condition. There were no surprises getting an old clanger and the presentation would shame some of the National Companies. Tyre walls wwere shiny and black, inside spotless, mechanically sound and only the tiniest of a stone chip. Service to collect was well practised and prompt with a substitute car for the first day due to unavailability. This was at no extra cost and was advised to us before we undertook the contract. There were no insurance excess surprises at all. The advertised price was all that we needed to know and there was no lengthy form filling just to get a 2nd driver. My fault this time I left my computer on a coffee table and I noticed that when our driver was almost at the nearby depot and he turned back immediately, no fuss at all and we did find it. The two people that we dealt with (driver and service desk) were both personable, efficient and friendly. We would recommend. Roger ” rogerj3, Paynesville VIC
