Have just been to the Porter following its reopening; Now, for those who knew it circa 1995 - the days when the price of a first class stamp was a nudge and a wink, sheep roamed freely and Queen Victoria grieved for a dashing, but dead, Albert, things have changed. Gone the sticky wooden seats, loud music and wino bar leaners and in with the clean lines, doors that resemble those of high class Parisien brothels and heady odours of corporate sterility. Predictable. Downstairs looked alright though.
