Have things changed ?, it is now 10-1-13 I wrote this on 1-23-09, NO, things have gotten worse--ObamaCare is just about the final nail in the the middle class coffin. To whom it may concern: From what I read and don’t see--nothing is happening for the small business man like myself and other small businesses on a daily basis. Since approximately April of 2008 my business and the businesses of my customers have been on the down slope-and I don’t see them recovering in the near future until we get things going-- don’t know the statistics of how many small businesses 2 to 3 years, to how long in business have failed–I would venture to say, since the period above at least three out of 10 and by the spring of 2009 another 2 out of the 10 will be gone–to replenish these businesses it would probably take 20 or 30 more start ups to gain the 5 back-again where are these entrepreneur? Where are they going to get the money needed to start these businesses, when the banks are not loaning money–for which they were given money to do. There are statistics for the aforementioned statements, which would probably speak louder then I pointed out. As you drive thru industrial areas, malls all you see is Space For Lease–where have all these small businesses gone–out of business-why its very obvious, people have no extra money to spend and are struggling due to unemployment, reduced hours and pay rates at their places of work. We need to create more jobs at the small business level–we seem to be taking care of the large bailout people–we now need to spend some money on the guy who helps the middle class people pay the rent buy food and other items that helps grow the economy and the country.. We need help now–and as I see it–we can get this help now–by making it possible for me and others like me to go to the bank where we are doing business with–who have a history with me and them to apply for a loan or a line of credit. The bank based on good business practices Ok’s the loan, the government guarantees the loan and the bank charges a modest interest rate for the duration of the loan. We have spent or will spend 700 billion on giant corporations and the president is planning to spend another 800 plus billion on various and sundry items. Based on my proposal above, the government would allocate to the States based on past experiences monies to fund this program–and if we spent a percentage of the monies spent on bailouts of the big guys and the monies to be spent 700 billion plus 850 billion totaling 1.550 trillion dollars providing nothing for the small business owner in help Article in the Palm Beach Post, written by the Washington Post–Obama pushes hard for economic recovery Plan–what is the plan? I would like to see it laid out in print totally. What are we going to do, where, when and how-short term effect, mid term effect, and long term effect. In the above article, it was mentioned that is would cost in taxpayer dollars 275.000.00 for every job it aims to create. Where are the jobs to be created, in the road building, bridge building, energy building, these are construction worker jobs, which in many cases are for specialty workers. We need these jobs too. Six billion for colleges and universities, do we need that right now? 50 million for the Arts, do we need that right now? Tax cut of 1,000 per family, how far does that go–especially it you pay no taxes–like many of our country men don’t. What is this going to mean to the economy. How is this going to grow the economy? Plus new tax cut for families with children, again this helps those who cannot help themselves for the most part. Again, how is this going to grow the economy? Hopefully the above will help those–who for whatever reason can’t help themselves. Help the least of mine, the Lord said. What we need is JOBS at the grassroots level–these are the Jobs that make our country grow–they help all–who want to be helped. I would like to exchange ideas and work with those, in an effort to help out. Mr. President, Help us, to help you and those who want the American way of life to continue.
