Have you ever been thrown by a golf cart? Well I have! Tuesday afternoon I was out with the group I golf with and we were coming off the 10th heading to the 11th tee, I had never been on the back 9 and did not see that there was a curb (of wood) and I drove over it, the cart tilted and threw me out (fortunately it did not turn over onto me) and the cart kept going til the curb stopped it but I was a mess. Big bump on left backside of head, left arm bruised up, right knee skinned and left leg scrapped, bruised and swollen. Went to ER for cat-scan and x-rays. Pain meds they gave me in hospital I had a reaction to by making me sick to my stomach so they kept me a hour longer til my color returned, I was no longer sweating and clammy and my stomach had settled. All told, shortest ER visit Ive ever seen, there at 5:30 pm and home by 8:30 pm. And no for you smart alecks I had not had anything to drink (if I had, I probably would not have bounced as hard as I did). Anyway, I am up and about again, went to the putting green yesterday afternoon, but all the bruises and tenderness will take a while to go away. Oh yes, just found out our new 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force grandson Alex Kean is coming for a visit and will be here tonight, whoopee!
