Have you ever considered what is the purpose for God to give us the Bible. Psalms 119: 105 could be the answer, You word is Alamo to my feet and a light to my path. How certain can I be that the Bible is the guide for my life today. 2 Peter1:19 we also have the prophetic word made more sure, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your heart. Isnt the Bible a matter of ones own interpations?, after all men wrote it. 2 Peter 1: 20-21 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation , 21- for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. What does the Bible really claim to be? John 17:17 Sanctify them by your truth. So what is my first step to be able to understanding Bible truth? John17:7 If anyone wants to do His Will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on my own authority. Understanding the Bible depends on ones willingness to do whatever God reguires of us. Reading the Bible isnt just simply a book reading, or studying the Bible isnt a mental exercise; It is a heart changing experience. So are you willing to dig deep into Gods word, and do what God wills for your life? Deep down in your heart do you desire to get to know God more and do whatever His Word the Bible and serve Him. 2 Timothy 3: 16-17 All Scripture is given by insperation of God , and is profitable for doctrine , for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness . 17- That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. So why should one read the Bible?, do I need to ask?
