Have you ever heard of SNOTTY GOBBLES? They are actually a central Australian delicacy along with bush coconut. Otherwise known as the mistletoe that grows on the Mulga Wattle and the Gall that forms on Eucalyptus trees. Walk the Alice Springs Desert Park with local guide Leon and I tonight in Gardening Australia to learn a little more about the indigenous understanding of the desert ecosystems that exist. I am In Alice with Sophie Thomson who also walks the park with one of the rangers who explains the different desert ecosystems. Its an amazing place and a must see on any trip to the Alice Springs. The more I visit the desert the more I appreciate just how incredibly diverse and intricate the landscapes outback are. All the rangers and guides of the Desert Park provide so much information and understanding with such passion and interest. It really is a place of International significance.
