Have you ever opened a spaghetti squash... or any fruit for that matter... and found sprouts inside? Thats what happened to me tonight. After struggling to cut through it with an inadequate knife and practically wrestling that thing to the ground, I saw what at first I thought were worms. But they were crisp like mung bean sprouts. I asked Google what I should do, and Google said to take it back because sprouts mean the squash is old and will be bitter. So I schlogged back to Rockridge Market Hall and asked the produce manager to swap it out. And not wanting to have to make yet another trip, I asked if he would mind cutting it in half for me so I could make sure it was okay inside. He took out the biggest knife I have ever seen in my life and whacked that thing in half in about a second. It was beautiful. Its baking in the oven now.
