The Shiba Inu has such a strong presence and beauty that people will stop in the street just to ask you about your Shiba or you will hear the “OH MY GOD! IT’S A SHIBA!” shout while walking down the street. Shiba Inus are loyal, frisky, playful, have strong prey drive, agile, quick, highly intelligent, aloof, reserved, cuddly, affectionate, and basically a wonderful companion and family member, BUT…. They are not for everyone. If you are considering adopting a Shiba Inu, please read about the breed! And remember that a dog is a life-long commitment. MSIR is in need of foster homes. We cannot save these precious souls without volunteers and foster homes willing to take these dogs into their homes and hearts.
