I cannot imagine He would ask His Father to let anyone who believes in Him to suffer and die in the same manner He did in vain. We tend to forget that we had to give up a life of worldly sin in order to make room for His Holy Spirit within us. A true follower would give up those things which kept us from salvation and come into the light of not only Jesus, but the loving Grace and Mercy of our Father in Heaven. I know I daily fall short, but I also know I have Jesus who I try my best to follow.
