Having failed, repeatedly, to show any kind of systemic voter fraud, the GOP is claiming other rationales to justify curtailing peoples ability to vote. Of course, theres only one real reason: to game the system so that their constituencies get to vote and the Democrats dont. If you cant win by the rules, change the rules. Of course, all of this is to stem a demographic tide that threatens to wash them away from the national stage. These tactics will work for a while - until they wont. Im guessing around 2020 for the whole thing to collapse. And all of this from a party that claims to cherish the Constitution above all else. What is more central to the Constitution than the right of citizens to freely vote?
