Having many Thanksgivings ruined thanks to working for Toys R Us, I can relate to this. I remember when Toys R Us opened on 12am Black Friday, which makes sense to me. Then the next year it opened at 11pm Thursday, then 10pm Thursday, until its probably open 24 hours also, who knows. Theres absolutely no reason for retail stores to be open. I dont understand the concept to being open through Thanksgiving, people are going to shop for deals regardless of what day youre open. Close on Thanksgiving and your employees get to spend time with their families and everyone else gets to relax on a national holiday without worrying to have to be the first in line at 1am 2 days before the sales start. What a joke. Luckily I dont have to worry about this nonsense anymore, now I get paid for my day off.
