Having seen people close to me defending Paula Deen on Facebook postings, I feel a mixture of anger and pain. If it is you, I invite you to read this. What you imply about them, you imply about that which is more important to me than my physical self. Brittney Cooper is more tolerant than I feel right now, and she is a role model for me.
