Hawk is having a good interactive day :) Hes really seeing things and people. I was eating popcorn and trying to get him interested and it worked! I would rattle the bag, bring the popcorn to my mouth really slowly, and then crunch obnoxiously right in his ear. He started opening his mouth and one time he even swatted my hand and brought it to his mouth! So I would let him taste and even crunch once but then pulled the pieces out of his mouth because he cannot chew and swallow them yet. He did really well so we decided to try okra and he did great with that too! He usually doesnt like green stuff baby food but he was ok with the whole fresh okra. Ill post that video next :) Another new thing he did today, he got fussy when I started to leave. A fellow seizure parent and I went to a republican rally so we could talk to the governor and others about cannabis oil. It went ok, no big news on that front but our goal is to make sure they know we are still around. But when I started to leave the house, as soon as I went out of view, Hawk got really stiff and cried out loud! The nurse was holding him and Gramma and I came running over. The nurse said nothing had happened and we checked for anything wrong, found nothing. So the best we can figure is he was upset that I was leaving. Hes in a real Mommy love phase and Im ok with that :) Now my best friend is here to help me pack, she flys a lot because shes originally from Minnesota. And my Aunt and Uncle are here from Virginia so we will all go out to eat later for my birthday. PF Changs again, yay! Katie
