He might not feel he is getting enough attention. Some of us are used to being ignored and our characters are somewhat boring so we are best served in small doses. Some of us who really do have somewhat anti social tendencies actually do better with the social media communicating than we have previously done in the reality of live social contact and are in communication with more people than ever. To each his own I would guess.
