He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses - TopicsExpress

He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. (Proverbs 28:13) Dear Frnds, Once, Lord Jesus was passing through the city of Jericho. A man named Zacchaeus wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him. When Lord Jesus came to the spot, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house. So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully (Luke 19:5,6). Those who were nearby complained saying that he was a sinner. But Zacchaeus who was a tax collector and was keen only on money said, “Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold. Then Lord Jesus said to him, Today salvation has come to this house…For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost (Luke 19:9,10). The Lord forgave the sins of Zacchaeus and gave him the joy of salvation. Everything became new in his life. The Bible says, “He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy” (Proverbs 28:13). Lord Jesus came to the world to save us. As stated in the above Bible verse, when we repent in our heart and seek forgiveness from Him, He will have mercy on us and grant us His forgiveness and the gift of salvation. He will give us new life. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, You came to seek and save the lost. I joyfully receive You into my heart. I repent in my heart and seek your forgiveness. May I find mercy from You. Grant me your forgiveness and accept me as your child. Today, let your salvation come to my house. Let everything become new in my life. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen.
