Head into the garden after hours for a choose-your-own style twilight adventure. Electronic Resonance Korps presents a laptop generated, surround sound installation. Nine accomplished sound artists harness their collaborative muscle and classical methods to generate completely new sound environments. Talking Barbie dolls, mini keyboards, Speak & Spell toys and Godzilla; this is the sound of Sydney electronic trio Toydeath. Their unique sound, made up entirely of circuit-bent toys, reminds us to never let go of our childlike enthusiasm. Teik Kim Pok’s Karaoke Massage combines the powers of lullaby and touch. This performative exchange involves a head and shoulder massage choreographed to a pop song chosen by audience members whose experience is visible and audible to passers-by. Jenevieve Chang’s Pop-up Bride explores traditional, culturally diverse and contemporary notions of marriage and how the institution is tied to family obligation, romantic currency and chance. $25.
