Head of Radio Access Network Posted by: Networkers International Posted date: Thu, 13th Jun Location: South-eastern Asia Our client,one of the largest Asian telecommunication companies focused on high growth low penetration emerging market and has controlling interests in mobile operators in Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Cambodia with significant strategic stakes in India, Singapore and Iran, is urgently searching for a permanent head of RAN. The role will be more like a senior subject matter expert as the selected candidate will be overseeing projects from a technical perspective rather than actually managing the RAN team. The candidate must have in depth technical knowledge of 2G/3G/LTE, interviews will be next week. The minimum proficiency required will be the following: Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills Bachelor of Engineering degree (Electrical & Electronics, or related fields ) Strong awareness about global trends in spectrum allocations & availability , radio technologies and their impact on Network Capex / Opex. Analytical and Presentation skills Negotiation skills Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years) 12-16 years of varied experience in Strategic Planning ( Radio NW ) , Regulations , ETSI specifications , understanding of fundamentals of RF network planning, 8-10 years managerial experience in a GSM/mobile company for 2G / 3G / LTE Experience in pre-sales / products function in a global telecom vendor for Radio Technology. Other requirements (Behavioural etc.) Commercial and business acumen.
