Headed home after spending the last 6 hours in the ER. We went from sunshine and blues skies to a sprinkle and then monsoon storm in a matter of minutes. I seriously thought it was a tornado with the way the trees & rain were swirling. I tried to get my canopy down but then lightning started striking and I decided that the canopy was staying up and I was going inside. The storm flipped our huge trampoline and snapped the frame into 2 pieces and drug the canopy across the hood of the truck. I was contemplating getting it off the truck but the lightning kept coming...per my husbands request I was trying to take pictures and was leaning against the sliding glass door when lightning struck. I watched it cross the water running across our patio towards the house. I yelled for the boys to get away from the door and before I could get away it hit the door and ran through me. I ended up throwing my phone across the room and collapsed after taking a step. The entire left side of my body wouldnt move. Seriously, by far the most painful and scariest thing ever. Especially when trying to stay calm to keep my boys calm. Ive got some feeling and movement back. Dr. says that I will have the muscle pain and shocking pain for weeks. Im just glad that it didnt hit the boys. Im so thankful and blessed to be ok.
