Health Talk Status: This is not an April Fools joke. I went to my doctor today and here are the status. I gained 1.5 pounds but it was all muscle weight from me doing weights. I am now about 167 pounds. My doctor told me that originally, I was supposed to be on two medicines for my diabetes, Metformin and another one. This was because I went over 10 years without formal treatment for my diabetes and that my AC1 level was at a very high 10.6 in January. WELL!!!! Today, in less than 2.5 months, it went to 7.8 and the doctor told me that at this rate I should be down to a 7 or below in another month. THIS IS due to my eating healthier food and my exercise. He said most people that reach 10 or more on their AC1 level usually have to use a second medicine because they do not change their eating habits. I was scared because it is Girl Scout cookies season and I ate half a box last week.
