Heard on the radio a while back that this memorable classic song is about...the birth of the composers first child. Let you out into the world...being born. Turn all the lights on...the cribs in maternity. Finish your whiskey and beer, parents, because the responsibility of real life begins NOW. I know who I want to take me home! The songwriter said, to him it was perfectly clear...but the song went on to become the anthem of American Last Call! Think about it. Listening to this song makes me cry now, remembering.
