Hearing about what Roger Cormans Fantastic 4 always pisses me off. Dont get me wrong. I dont hate the movie. Quite the opposite in fact. It was campy B-Movie greatness. My reasons I for being pissed have to do with its canceled release and something personal. My dad was a MASSIVE Fantastic 4 fan & always dreamed of a movie. You have no idea how much of a Fantastic 4 fan he was. They were his favorite superhero team. Understandably, he got all excited when he saw a trailer for it. So much so he was actually doing a happy dance and had me come into the room so He could share the preview with me even though it was on tape for a Rated R movie. He had always dreamed of a Fantastic 4 movie. After its release date passed, and it never came out his dreams were crushed. He was actually mad and a tad depressed about it. But thats not what pisses me off. No what pisses me off is what happened to it. Fearing damage to the brand from a B-Movie Marvel/Avi Arad & Stan Lee bought up the rights before it could be released just so they could destroy it then blamed the people who made the film saying they had no intentions of ever releasing it. Thanks to this vindictive act my dad never got to the Fantastic 4 he always wanted. THAT is what pisses me off. youtu.be/gcpmM-eTESI
