Heart of a Warrior – “The Lord guards all those who love Him, - TopicsExpress

Heart of a Warrior – “The Lord guards all those who love Him, but He destroys all the wicked.” Psalm 145:20 As we watch the news of the turmoil of the movement of radical Islam and the ISIS movement in Iraq, Syria and Iran, it can be somewhat unsettling. Especially when you see the beheading of a lady in the work place in Oklahoma, and the causes mentioned were a belief in the faith of Islam. There is has never been a greater need in recent years than to pray for the Christians in Baghdad, the US and most of all Israel. This kind of hatred may be new to us, but it is certainly not new to the Jews throughout history and even the modern day Christians in the Middle East. With the kind of time we are living in, how would God have us to behave internally and externally during times like this? I don’t think God would want us to panic and I don’t think God wants us to doubt His ability to be in control. This Davidic Psalm reassures us that God is always in control of the final outcome. There has always been up evil in this part of the world between the belief of Islam vs the Jews, and the Christians. There will never be long-term peace between these people and faith groups. And what we as Christians need to remember, we have a faith in the life after this life, a belief in the resurrection of Christ body from the dead. Therefore we have a God that brings life into our second life outside of this body that we live in, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one that believes in Me, even if he dies, will live. Everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die—ever. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26. So you can see, the whole idea of terrorist trying to terrorize a person that believes in a resurrected Savior, who promises to give life again to us, there is no terror in that. The true terror, is for the terrorist who dies without Christ. There will be no 70 virgins, just weeping and gnashing of teeth for themselves. So as God puts it in Psalm 145, He will destroy the wicked himself. And even if I lose my head for the sake of Christ, I will be alive in Christ before my dead body hits the ground. Jesus Christ said that He is “The only way, the only truth, the only life”, there is no need for terror if you believe in that statement. According to the first part of Psalm 145, Christ is protecting my soul and spirit as I am sharing this with you, and no one can have me, no one can touch me, no one can separate me from the love of Christ. So, I am standing in a good place, no need to be in fear. In fact I will fight the terrorist with my prayers and ask the Lord to show Himself strong and mighty. “Dear Jesus, go do you what You do best”! So fellow believers, it is time to get bold as a lion for Christ, pray like you have never prayed before. And if for some reason you lose your life for your faith in the gospel, then know this, “But Stephen filled by the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven. He saw God’s glory, with Jesus standing at the right hand of the Father, and he said, “Look I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of the Father.” Acts 7:55-56. Fear not, be brave as a lion! SDG54-DAD-9-30-14
