Heaven greeted 21 yr-old warrior, Tiara Durham, on yesterday, September 17th, after her extensive journey with sickle cell anemia, followed by a Bone Marrow Transplant. Pictured below: her moms hand at her bedside, the fighter herself and a symbol of the bleeding, but loving hearts this morning. So many of us followed her story on the internet (all over this world), thanks to the regular updates from her mother, Tonya Durham. Her mom would share our thoughts and well wishes with her and she would send us messages of thanks and hope. All of these untimely passings affect me, but this one got me, because I had been following her life so closely. I will say, when she could, she made others around her smile. If you know how this mother is feeling this morning, please keep her in mind through the months and years to come. Thank you all for being a part of this very special and important online support group.
