"Heavenly Bonds" The day that I first saw a flash of light, Little fingers wrapped tightly around yours. You calmed me down in the dead of the night, And still loved me after all of our wars. Growing up, you taught me all of your ways, And took the troubles of the world for me. You held it together during each phase. When I look to you, it is God I see. God has graced me with your wisdom and strength. I will always hold true to your lessons. I know you will be within my arms length, Because in my heart will be your presence. I thank God each day for this special gift, Such a bond that can be split by no rift.
