Heavenly Father, we are surrounded on every side by people and situations which are troubling, distressing, frightening and aggravating. We ask you for patience to endure hardships, for faith to carry us through the darkest night, for peace in the midst of the storms and for the ability to never doubt you. We stand in your presence with hands extended and with hearts open to receive your Words which will enable us to withstand and to endure. Look upon us with favor dear God and see past our mistakes, our stubbornness and our weaknesses. Father we ask for your forgiveness for all the times we have strayed from your will. Father we ask you to look upon our hearts and purify us with your holiness. Father we ask you to tenderly lift us up, heal our wounds and gently reassure us that no matter what, we will always be your children. Please help us be children in whom you are pleased. Be with us in the worship services of Your day so that your saints may join in heart and soul. Be with us so that we may receive the blessing promised to all who sincerely pray to You and faithfully hear Your Word. This we ask in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
