Heavy heart, teary eyes, and grateful memories! Almost 36 years ago she rescued a discarded baby, and helped him grow into a man of courage and compassion. Today, I am where I am because of her undying commitment to help me go from trash-pile to triumph. And now my heart is deeply saddened to hear that my adopted Mother, Ciettu, died this morning 9am in Monrovia, Liberia. I remember her singing to me as a child, starving herself just so I could eat, and helping to bring me over to the US - opening a larger chapter of my life. I celebrate her life, love, and kindness! RIP Mama...
