Hebrew 12:4-13(Amplified bible)AMPB God disciplines His children 4 You have not yet struggled and fought agonizingly against sin, nor have you yet resisted and withstood to the point of pouring out your [own] blood. 5 And have you [completely] forgotten the divine word of appeal and encouragement in which you are reasoned with and addressed as sons? My son, do not think lightly or scorn to submit to the correction and discipline of the Lord, nor lose courage and give up and faint when you are reproved or corrected by Him; 6 For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes. 7 You must submit to and endure [correction] for discipline; God is dealing with you as with sons. For what son is there whom his father does not [thus] train and correct and discipline? 8 Now if you are exempt from correction and left without discipline in which all [of God’s children] share, then you are illegitimate offspring and not true sons [at all]. 9 Moreover, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we yielded [to them] and respected [them for training us]. Shall we not much more cheerfully submit to the Father of spirits and so [truly] live? 10 For [our earthly fathers] disciplined us for only a short period of time and chastised us as seemed proper and good to them; but He disciplines us for our certain good, that we may become sharers in His own holiness. 11 For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems grievous and painful; but afterwards it yields a peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it [a harvest of fruit which consists in righteousness--in conformity to God’s will in purpose, thought, and action, resulting in right living and right standing with God]. 12 So then, brace up and reinvigorate and set right your slackened and weakened and drooping hands and strengthen your feeble and palsied and tottering knees, 13 And cut through and make firm and plain and smooth, straight paths for your feet [yes, make them safe and upright and happy paths that go in the right direction], so that the lame and halting [limbs] may not be put out of joint, but rather may be cured. Brethren in Christ, be disciplined by God for his righteousness sake so that you will know where you stand in Christianity. Let the Lord discipline us so that we will know how to talk when we get outside. We Christians just do some things that are not right thinking all is well, but it is not right in the presence of God, when we are disciplined by God, we will know what is right and what is wrong. It is not everything one sees as Christian that you must say to an unbeliever so that you wont blame yourself. Whenever the Lord is correcting you, never you think that, it is one man/woman that caused you yesterday that made you start suffering for somethings, but it is the Lord that is discipline you to know maybe you will be patient or not Then what are the things to know when God wants to discipline us 1. Be obedient to the word of God. Some people when you correct them from the word of God, they starr complaining I know bible more than you. Please if you are that kind of person listen and obey the word of God, because as they are correcting you, God is the one leading them to you and heaven is listening, on that last day, you will not and cant deny that they didnt tell you because you will be shown as the man or woman was correcting you from the word of God 2. Such Christian must be filled with the Holy Spirit 3. Such Christian must be alert at all times 4. Baptism of the Holy ghost. Not speaking it tongues this time but spirit of discernment to know if this spirit is from God or from the devil 5. One must not talk too much. Some people(Christian/unbeliever) just talk anyhow and it kills the mind of believers, and if such believer is not careful, he or she will fall(psalms 1:1) 6. Your Spiritual growth in Christ must increase everyday, desiring to know him more 7. Enduring persecution, hardship as Christians, dont complain when you are in this situation 8. Desire the spirit of praying 9. Such Christian should desire in praising God always(not worldly song but heavenly song)Colossians 3:16 10. Let your words encourage others not to lead people to Sin. Once you can observe these things with all humility of heart, it leads to holiness(direct visa to Gods Kingdom). Without holiness, no man shall see God(:Hebrew 12:14). May the Lord be with you Pray this prayer with me Lord discipline me by your righteousness sake for me to know where I stand Lord, the grace to stand when your discipline for my life starts, lord grant unto me in the name of Jesus.......(As the Spirit leads you) for in Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
