Hello Block-a-holics! Thanks for all your feedback about the show last night. For those who asked, yes we do read comments so we’d like to address some of your questions. The judges have not met the teams. This ensures they are only looking at market resell values for each room, without any bias. Remember, the winners of The Block NZ will be determined by the live auction Grand Finale. The judges are trying to help the teams out by giving them areas to improve on in the coming weeks which will ultimately help them in these auctions. Loz has given her take on it: “Seeing 4s was disappointing, but we do what everyone has to, which is pick ourselves up and keep trooping on. The judges are there to critique us and help us improve, so we take their feedback and do what we can with it. One of the ways we always dealt with losing (and winning too) was by remembering that all 4 teams have one ultimate judge and that is the real estate market." "I know there are many of you out there who are outraged by the judges scoring because you are concerned it reflects badly to the potential buyers of our houses. As contestants we know our houses speak for themselves and that the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into building them has resulted in four high-spec, incredibly well built and designed homes.” If you’d like to see the houses for yourself make sure you head to The Block NZ Open Homes!
