Hello Everyone, You might remember my post a couple of weeks back, where I managed to get a new Macbook Retina. This isnt about that. This is about why you have your MacBook. There is no best for windows based or mac based laptops. I use my MacBook because I need it for mac-specific applications, like Logic Pro, Skitch, XCode, etc. and partly because I prefer the OSX environment in both mac-only and cross-platform applications (I find using XCode and Ableton Live easier on a Mac), and also for the portability. Of course, there are things I use my PC for too - PC only applications or stuff that works better (or that I prefer to use) on PC like Room EQ Wizard, Matlab, Microsoft Office, ProTools, VST Plugins, etc. My point is that both have their pros and cons. I bought my MacBook out of necessity, not preference. The bottom line is, I needed my MacBook for work, and if I had the choice, Id definitely transfer all my work to one platform, but thats just not possible. Im sure many of you bought their MacBook for necessity rather than luxury too, and remember why youre in this group. Its not because you think Apple products are crap. Its because you want your MacBook to work again, because you need it. I have to say, Im pleased I got a replacement Mac, and Im not going to lie, being in this group has helped me to get it (I only mentioned this group at the genius bar, thats all), but Im also disappointed with the Apple-bashing going on. My case proved that you only have to speak up a little and you can get what you want. Yes, Im angry at Apple having their products break down, but I think there is another place on the internet to vent that, where this group has a specific purpose. As for people wanting my repair code, Im sorry but Im not prepared to give that out on the internet.
