Hello FCC/ Impact Church! I had an awesome fast day yesterday that I just had to share. I made it through the day with minimal complaints even though I was bombarded with complaining customers and co-workers. But the most awesome part was about my meal for the day. I had to be a church early and I got busy at the last minute and didnt get to eat as planned. So I grabbed a bag of tuna and a protein bar (Yummmy - I see you salivating) ANYWAY! I treated myself to IHOP since I didnt feel like cooking. I walked in and there was a party of 8 people in front of me. NO PROBLEM. Well I got seated and the 8 people turned into a party of 30 people, the waiter forgot about me and got their drink order first. {in my pookie/ray-ray voice: OH NO HE DIDDANT} I had a right to complain BUT DIDNT. I called another waitress over and asked for a glass of water and asked if she could take my order since I had already waited at least 20 minutes. After all, I couldnt BE THAT hungry after my 5 pm feast (WHATEVA). The waitress apologized and was prompt and courteous in taking my order and bringing me my food. I FINALLY GOT MY FOOD!! Thank GOD! Meanwhile, these 30 college students were loud but having fun and speaking in different languages, it was kind of funny so I decided to not let that bother me. All of a sudden they bust out and start singing Set a fire down in my soul, that I cant contain and I cant control, I want more of you God. Thats my JAM! Then they stopped and apologized for being too loud, I told them that we sing it at my church and that I was on the praise team. They asked me to sing it with them. Next thing you know were harmonizing in IHOP, {YOU KNOW I HAD TO REPRESENT AND HOLD DOWN THE TENOR NOTE}. Bishop George Davis and my FCC/Impact Framily would have been proud. I finished my meal and asked to speak to the manager. Instead of complaining, I gave a compliment to my waitress and her manager. Before I left, I spoke with some of the students from Russia, Germany, and Bosnia, and invited them to church. I like to give a shout out to all my new singing pals at Charis Bible College .. Sharing the song with me. youtu.be/-Jzqq4B8H2Q
