Hello Folks, Just a reminder, we need addresses and updates for our packing party on Saturday at 9:00AM at the American Legion located at 515 X street in Bedford. Even if your loved one or friend has the same address as the last time we mailed out care packages, if you could please send it to us again it will be very helpful. The postage has increased since the last time we mailed packages. The cost for mailing the large flat rate boxes are 17.42 each. This is one reason its important we have the correct updated addresses. Once we have all the addresses in, We will go through our donated items and go purchase items needed to complete the packages. If anyone would like to help us go through items and go shopping to purchase items, please let me know at your earliest convenience. If you have any cards please bring them to the Legion on Saturday. If you need me to pick them up please let me know by tomorrow. If you have goods to donate it would be helpful if you could get them to me by tomorrow. This will make it easier for me to know what we need and purchase the items by Saturday. If you cant get the items to me, and if you would email me a list of what you have I would greatly appreciate that. Again, I will be happy to pick anything up for you. You may call or text me at 812-583-4736. We will be decorating the float for the Christmas parade next week. We need volunteers to help decorate the float and participate in the parade. I will let you know when and where we will be decorating the float by Monday if not sooner. The parade is on Saturday December 6th. We would like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving!
