Hello Friends, Some of you may know that our entire family is traveling to the Dominican Republic on May 30th, 2014, for a medical and humanitarian mission with the International Childrens Heart Foundation. The town we are going to is on the border of Haiti in the town of Jimani referred to as the Frontier. Doug will be providing perfusion for their pediatric heart cases, Hannah and Haven are assisting with Child Life post-surgically and Brennan, Camille, Caden and I are helping at the affiliated orphanage run by the Chadasha Foundation that has up to 30 children there daily from 6 months- 19 years old. Doug is working on getting donations for medical supplies for the mission and I have offered to bring requested supplies to the orphanage. Their requests are so simple but the impact of these contributions significant. (White wash cloths, hand towels, non-sterile gloves, dishwashing gloves (size M), Coloring Books, Vaseline (Large Tubs for smoothing their hair), Boys/Mens Sports Socks (Smallest Boy size 11), underwear for teen boys (XL Boys or Small 30/32 waist).
