Hello! I am trying to simulate a U-shaped system of concrete walls with line finite elements. Ι am using 3 elasticBeamColumn elements for each wall, one that is vertical and two horizontal connected to the top node that represent the rigid beams. The 3D building is 1-storey with a rigid diaphragm constraint and an assembled mass. After running an eigen analysis with OpenSees, I compared the natural periods T of the model to the ones exported from SAP2000 to evaluate the results, but there is a significant divergence of about 9%. Does anyone have a clue for this? Is it normal or should I look for an error in the script? Thank you for your time. If you need any more information on the model, just ask me.
