Hello Mountie Nation: We are participating in the Cascades Mural Project. The following area schools; East Jackson, Western, Vandercook Lake, Jackson High and Northwest Community Schools are competing in a contest to raise money to renovate the Cascades Falls. The school that gets the most votes for their mural will win a cash prize. The murals are currently on display at the old Secretary of State (heading toward Target) storefront area at the Jackson Crossings thru December 21st. After the 21st, the murals will be going to Westwood Mall for the rest of the year. People are voting on the Murals by contribution and there are a couple different ways: 1) - If they have a smart phone they can scan the QR Code that is on the flyer of the school they want to vote for and make a contribution that way. The flyers are on the window at The Crossings display. 2) - Send a check or money order to Jackson Community Foundation AND the check or money order HAS TO BE MADE OUT as follows: - Jackson Community Foundation - The Cascades - and in the memo area put the name of the school they are voting on. It is a wonderful event for a wonderful cause. It’s a great day to be a Mountie.
