Hello, My name is Patricia Alfonso, I am 10 years old and everybody calls me Patty, I am a proud student of Eanes Elementary School in Austin located on Camp Craft Road in the West Lake Hills. Three years ago I wanted to raise money and donated it to an organization dedicated to fund cancer research for kids, so my friends and I painted art, displayed it at a gallery, we invited people to admire our art and sold it. The proceeds from our sales were donated to Cure Search the first two years and to St. Baldrick’s last year. We did it as an expression of love to other kids. We have raised around $9,000.00 dollars in the past three years. We will love to do it again this year! In fact we will love to double the money raised last year. Phil Crawshay from Crawshay Gallery is donating his gallery for second year in a row on May 4, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. to display our art. The gallery is located in the Atrium at The Omni Hotel in Downtown Austin. --The Ask: Recruiting artists I was hoping that you will help me and my friends help other kids donating your art to help kids with cancer. I would like to invite you and your friends to create a beautiful painting or drawing to be display at the gallery on May 4, 2014. You can use any size canvas (8 x 10, or 11 x 14) and acrylic paint. You can be inspired by different artists or by nature itself. Spring is the most beautiful time of the year; everything is blooming, so let’s help a sick child see the blooming flowers with their own eyes for years to come.
