Hello Sunday. First real fall morning. Chill in the air bright yellow sunrise-color the light in the distant views of early Renaissance painting;here and there trees changing color but nothing falling yet. But once the temperature drops and the wind picks up the falling dance will begin and our private domain will no longer be so private and the neighbors houses appear again and we like the trees are exposed. The sunlight streams into the living room and illuminates the far wall with the " found paintings " I collected 30 years ago. Mostly landscapes and nothing could be more than $50.00. Another wall is a display of works in words: Jonathan Borofsky, Cary Leibowitz, Deborah Kass, Elaine Reichek, James Castle, Jeffry Mitchell, Ian Hamilton Finlay, and the first work I ever bought: a candy wrapper on which is drawn and written by Italo Scanga...anyone remember him? I will grow this mini collection over the next few years, long list of wishes and desires:Bochner, Ruscha, Nauman, Snyder, Carnwath, Spector, and so on. Now enjoying first pot of coffee and the radio on ; Sherman fed and now on the bed again with his biscuit. If Teddy were here he would have eaten already but now it is a little reward he will save for later. Sometimes I find these under a pillow or buried in a blanket a dog gotta do what a dog gotta do.
