Hello, Today the DCHS Drumline performed with the National Band Association - Indiana All-Star Marching Band. This band was made up of 40 different HS bands. Each year an award winning Drumline is invited to perform with the All Star Band. The DCHS Drumline has been working hard to learn the parade tune Back Home Again in Indiana and 3 Drum Cadences for 3 weeks. This past Friday they went to Butler University to practice with the band and then attended a pizza Party afterwards. Today 5/24/14 the Drumline arrived at 7:30am - Went to Butler University to take Pictures with the Ensemble and then went Downtown to do the 2.2 mile parade. In typical Parade fashion, the Drumline plays entire time. Over 300,000 people attend the parade. This band also earned the honor of Escorting Jim Neighbors during his final appearance at the 500 Parade. I am so proud of the dedication and hard work that these students have put into representing DCHS, and Indiana at this parade. This has been a great year for the DCHS BANDS! Tim Cox
