Hello, We are looking to cast the Lead role of James Ferrose for our feature length independent film Romeos Distress. This is a NON - SAG film. Compensation to be discussed. Terms stated in contract. ONLY looking for Actors in the NY area. If you are not from this area please lets not waste each others time. Seriously. HUGE plus if you are from Westchester, NY. This film is primarily shooting in White Plains. Romeos Distress is a dark black & white love triangle story with a twist, very much in the tradition of a Shakespearean tragedy - About a boy named James who loves a girl named Jane. Dale (Janes Father) and his lap dog, Bobby (Janes Boyfriend) will go to any lengths to keep James away from Jane. The Feel of this movie is Night of the Living Dead, Gummo, and Red, White & Blue. We are fully cast (except for James) and have already begun filming and have a few scenes in the can. The production schedule is NOT consecutive. We are shooting once or twice weekish. JAMES FERROSE - [Casting short (59 and below), caucasian, male Ages 18 – 30] A seemingly meek, timid 18 – 21 y/o boy who is desperately, hopelessly in love with Jane Matthews (She is the girl-next-door of his dreams). James is a serious loner who loves listening to rock n roll passionately enough to play air drums when he walks down the street. He has a childish arrested development and suffers social anxieties around women. Besides Rock N Roll, he has a passion for photography and taking care of his Grandmother. James only friend besides his Grandma is his Uncle Elmo. Involvement: [10+ full days of shooting] James is in most of the scenes - more than anyone else in the film. Maybe 85% to 90% of the film. He is the largest part with the most to shoot. A nice juicy part. The LEAD. If you want to be the star of a feature length film, then look no further and try out for the role.
