Hello: You might want to watch this Google Earth tour of fracking sites in the US and Canada. The damage this industry has wrought on the landscape is criminal, and, were it done by foreigners or aliens, would have prompted mobilization of the National Guard and the Army to respond and halt the destruction. https://youtube/watch?v=7jN6TSSPZwU No emotion, just facts as presented on Google Earth. It is hard to dispute that this same industry unleashed on New Brunswick would create a similar amount of disturbance. Of course what isnt shown on this tour are the lattice-work of laterals extending under the ground. From 6 - 20 laterals extend from each paved well pad is an estimate. According to the US Geological Survey, each well pad consumes 30 acres of land, when pipelines, roads, pumping stations, well pad etc. are accounted for. What a senseless, backward use of land, in my opinion. We all need to stop subsidization of fossil fuels and start pushing renewables as a key public policy focus for future energy development. Sincerely, Margo Sheppard Fredericton
