Hello again everybody! Two posts within a week, whats going on I hear you all cry. As I eluded to in my previous post, we are going to place the dogs in Kennels while Riette and I resolve some personal issues. The purpose of this post is to let you know that placing the dogs in kennels is really just the start. Some of you already know that to be closer to Riette I have been actively looking for a position in the Middle East. Well, I am pleased to confirm I finally got one. So, this Sunday, I am packing my bags and returning to the UK with a view to starting my new Job hopefully sometime in August. To ensure the business is not adversely affected by my leaving, Riette and I have been actively searching for a manager who can take the reigns and continue driving our vision of where we would like The Idle Monkey to be in respects to quality of service and the facility. To that end we held a number of interviews and after much deliberation have finally employed the service of Antje. Originally from Germany, Antje is highly experienced in running and managing small to medium sized hotels and guests houses. I will leave her to do a follow on update on this page to introduce herself in more detail. From a personal perspective I would like to say it has been a pleasure meeting all the guest who have passed through our doors over the past 6 months. Every one of you have been so kind in understanding the issues we have faced (and continue to face) and buy into our vision for the future. I have met some wonderful people and I am sad to be having to leave. The Security Team are going to be joining me once i have settled into the job and the house. Hopefully it wont take too long, as Kennel life cant be too good for them over a long period. Finally its worth saying, we are not disappearing for ever, we plan to return to The Idle Monkey as often as we can, so hopefully we may bump into you again in the not too distant future.
