Hello all - Im doing total bottom of my heart campaigning here. I know we all get bombarded with messages to give to charities and as such, giving to a film can seem a bit less valid - but in this case this film legitimately has a capacity to change the entire outlook of a nation. The power is in your hands. Kyrgyzstan is not a stan as we have been made to believe they all are in the American perception. On my first visit there I engaged in a two-hour long Beatles song-fest with Tynchtyk Abylkasymov and Максат Мася Мамырканов, and discussed the reality of the entire universe existing on the back of a turtle with Naizabek Sydykov (both occasions may have involved vodka....). One of our perks includes a visit to Kyrgyzstan and it would be one of the best experiences of your life to take up. When I was there three weeks ago I taught Oleg Vyboichenko how to play Australian Football and played kick-to-kick with him for half an hour with an Essendon Football Club football bought by Ryan Burrows from a Target in Shepparton, Australia. That football now lives in the Guild of Cinematographers in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. And both Fyodor Druzin and I spent days with Joki Akmataliev who is one of the best camera operators in the country and gave days of his time to film our pitch video without a second thought. The smallest contribution to the film can be our make or break. £3 - The cost of a cup of coffee, goes further than you can imagine and that is all we asking for.
