Hello all, Benji here. I have a resource that I thought you might find interesting. I certainly did, and so have decided to bring it to your attention. If you are unfamiliar, this is Feminist Frequency, a video series by Anita Sarkeesian, which explores the portrayal of women in mass media (in books, in film, on television, in games and in other examples of popular culture), with particular discussion of female characters in video games. Even if youre not looking specifically for such a discussion, these are all worth a watch if youve any interest in any of the above forms of media. Sarkeesian is clever, incisive, and incredibly brave (sadly, the harassment of her by some people, both on and offline in opposition to her work, has meant bravery in the face of that, too.)
