Hello all. I am caretaker for my mom who had a stroke back in 2007, she has some weakness on her left side but is able to walk with a walker. Since her stroke she has had other health issues. At the moment she is in the hospital after having surgery for bowel blockage. She is 80 yrs old and not in the best of health but she is a strong woman. Her husband ( my step father) also needs care for he has cancer and dementia and cannot be left alone. I will be there for them for whatever they need but it does get overwhelming at times and sometimes I feel guilty for feeling this way. I am so glad that you have created a site like this for caretakers to vent or ask questions or just have other people who they can relate with. Thank you so much.
