Hello all... My mission has been progressing, although I have not been updating this page recently. I Thought I would share some of my experiences. Starting with re-homing nine cats, and now down to 3 has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life. The journey began with a friendship and strong bond to a friend who became very ill and passed away. Before his passing he asked for my help. I agreed. I did not know that in short order his cats would be homeless and living on the streets. It was a challenge to get them all and bring them to safety. The next challenge was bringing them to good health. All have been healthy, but had issues related to infection and insect infestations. Then the challenge of finding wonderful forever homes for each.... I thought that would be the most difficult.....It was/ is not. The most difficult challenge by far has been letting them go. Each of them an extension of my friend.....Watching them go to their respective homes one by one has been one of the most difficult things Ive ever done. Theyve each taken up residence in my heart, with their affectionate, and sweet nature, a testament to the love they were so freely given by my friend..... They were a tangible, physical extension of him, and though my wish is that they each experience a wonderful life, in their new forever homes, I miss them more than I ever thought I would....
