Hello and thanks for always being on this programme. A programme that keeps you well informed about the gimmicks and pranks, surging and adventures of politics in Cross River State and Nigeria as a whole. As we continue the wide consultations to enable us take a position in the 2015 governoship race in Cross River State, we shall keep you, our esteem followers abreast of happenings and build-ups to the elections next year. This special edition is to examine APCs prospects of challenging the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming presidential election and that of Cross River State. It focuses on the Blue print of the APC in its quest of ending PDPs reigns. APC currently projects Odey Ochicha as its governorship candidate in Cross River State and has two governors from South-south(Amaechi in Rivers and Adams Oshiomole in Edo), one in South-East(Rochas Okorocha in Imo), four in South-West(Fashola in Lagos, Amosun in Ogun, Ajimobi in Oyo and Aregbesola in Osun), two in North-Central(Almakura in Nasarawa and Abdufatai in Kwarra) and the remaining seven coming from North-East and West respectively, not forgeting Kwankwoso of Kano et al. APC curently has only two pronounced presidential candidates, in Atiku Abubakar, an estwhile Vice President and a business Mongul and rtrd Gen. Mohamadu Buhari, one time military Head of state. With Bola Ahmed Tinubu acting as one of the strong party leaders and Lai mohamed being the Image maker of the party, not forgeting the outspoken Nasirul El-Rufai. APC still has not presented to Nigerians reasons why we should vote out PDP and vote in APC! The APC seem not to have an agenda. Nigerians have waited for too long for the APCs roadmap with conventions being held almost on monthly basis ( two in less than a month) producing only a regurgitation of worn- out, clichés like we will erase insecurity that Jonathan has allowed to take over Nigeria. It seem that the APC is not preparing for elections, rather actively planning to scheme itself into power in 2015 using violent uprising and inciteful remarks instead of looking forward to peaceful polls. One of the most annoying thing about the APC is the never-ending attempt to ridicule the highest office in the land which seem a credo and an explanation of the alternative the APC is flaunting. People accuse the APC, saying that their aim is to set the stage for violence, instill fear in Nigerians, discourage them from actively participating in the electoral process thereby giving room for them to perpetrate all manners of electoral malpractices (as evidenced by their cloning of the Permanent Voters Cards) which is the only way they may hope to achieve political power in Nigeria. This position is reinforced by their constant threat to cause violent pandemonium when they lose the elections. I thought that the silver hair of its leaders would caution the thoughtless delinquency of its youngsters. Unfortunately, the recklessness of the old is in fierce competition with the imprudence of the young. Until APC shield their sword, curb the verbal attacks on PDP led administrations and start plotting and presenting viable road maps to propective succession of the PDP reigns, I see them as JOKERS both in Cross River State and at the National level.
